How is your organization honoring Juneteenth?

Juneteenth is not a "2020" phase

I will never forget the day: May 25, 2020 George Floyd was murdered. 2020 was the elevated year of the “racial reckoning,” which forced many organizations to evaluate their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, including the recognition of Juneteenth.

In the midst of a pandemic along with the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and countless others the day is now observed as a Federal Holiday, more people are engaged in understanding the history of Juneteenth and some organizations provide space for their team members to engage in conversation and education regarding this historic day.

This is the time for organizations to double down on their DEl strategic initiatives. Team Members will know if the day was treated as the “flavor of the month” or if its observance translates into racial equity within the company.

How is your organization observing this historic day?
